Women’s day is a very special day for all women across the world. The fact that the 8th of March has been declared International Women’s day is in itself the recognition of women and their identity in the entire world.

The International Women’s day was celebrated with a lot of gusto at R.I.M.T-I.E.T, Mandi Gobindgarh. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti graced this occasion as the Chief Guest. Other esteemed senior faculty members were also present at the event.

It began with a musical tribute to women and womanhood. This was followed by a few poetic recitals of self composed work. Continuing the event on the musical note talented Punjabi student singers moved everyone present with their melody.

Dr. Harsh Sadawarti was also invited to play a quiz. Then a short meaningful skit presented by the students which was educating and entertaining. Inspiring speeches were also delivered by the students which voiced their opinions about the plight of women.

The ceremony was ended by a heart touching song dedicated to all the mothers worldwide.
