With the grand success of IT job fest in the month of November, RIMT Engineering Institutes hosted second IT job fest exclusively for RIMT students in which more than six IT and core electronics companies participated and offered jobs to B.Tech Computer Science, Electronics and MCA students passing out in the year 2010.Vice Chairman of the RIMT Group, Mr. Vijayant Bansal inaugurated the job fest and extended warm welcome to recruiting HR and technical team members of Wsoftech, Zimin software, Recroiter group, Blue Beacon Electronics, Canadian MNC datwind and other participating companies. He said that such job fest helps organizations to search for talented fresh resource for their current and future requirements. He added that RIMT students are introduced to newer technologies through regular workshops and seminars in the campus which leads to value added skills for getting employed.
All participating companies started with the placement test, followed by HR and technical rounds of interview. Mr. Amit Metharu, GM said that company will be hiring for the post of software trainee, web developer, web designer, business analyst, online marketing, search engine optimizer etc. Mr. Rajinder Singh manager HR of Blue Beacon Electronics Security Systems Pvt Ltd., Mr. Jai Thakural Director Business Development India, Mr. Vishal and Ms. Aman from Zimin software also shared their experiences in IT sector with the students and encouraged them to be innovative and focused during their six months industrial training period.
A Canadian MNC into manufacturing ‘mobile internet device’ called the UbiSurfer also conducted placement tests for B.Tech electronics students for the post of testing engineer. Those selected will be getting a stipend during training and an opportunity to pursue their career in GPRS and WiFi networks using Linux operating system.
Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Principal RIMT-IET said that with participation of 262 students from B.Tech computer science, electronics engineering and MCA, finally 74 students were short listed for final round of interview to be held at company’s corporate office.
