RIMT Institutes organized PTU Inter College Lawn Tennis Tournament 2009-10 (30/09/09 to 01/10/09). Dr. Hukam Chand Bansal, Chairman RIMT Institutes was the Chief Guest on the closing of tournament and distributed the prizes and medals among the winner teams of boys and girls. Closing function was presided over by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti (Principal, RIMT-IET) along with Dr. Pritpal Singh(Principal, RIMT-MAEC), Mr. S.S.Dhaliwal (Director Sports), Mrs. Savitri Dhaliwal & Japinderpal Singh. Tournament finished in the light of flood lit courts of RIMT with full enthusiasm and zeal.
As many as 23 Teams (Boys 14 and Girls 9) had participated in the two-day competition. In men’s Category CHITKARA-IET won the Men’s title with straight 2 wins From Defending Champions SVIET BANUR. In women Category, BBSBEC Fatehgarh Sahib won in two Straight games from IET Bhaddal. For third Place in Men’s section GNDEC won from CT Institute Jalandhar with the neck Tied score of 2-1 in Women’s Category LIT Phagwara won from Defending Champions Rayat IET with fighting score of 2-1.
