After successful placements of 2009 batch students at Wipro Technologies from Bangalore in last week of January 2009. Now, Wipro Infotech visited RIMT-Group of Institutions, Mandi gobindgarh to recruit degree students graduating in 2009. Chairman of RIMT group of institutions, Sh. Hukam Chand Bansal, extended warm welcome to company officials. He said that Wipro Infotech offers integrated IT solutions to companies and is the World's first CMMi Level 5 certified software services company and the first outside USA to receive the IEEE Software Process Award.
Placement team in RIMT is working to provide maximum opportunities to students even in this recession hit market of today. Companies are cutting down on many things, but still they have to maintain and utilize all the systems. The core areas in IT like networking administration, tech support, and database management will always remain unaffected.
Company officials stated that Wipro Infotech is the leading strategic IT partner for companies across India, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. One of the officials also said that “We are discovering RIMT as our hub of recruitments as this is the sixth time we are visiting RIMT campus, and we intend to visit again in the month of March to recruit diploma students, passing out in June 2009”.
With participation of more than 583 students from different colleges for online test, 51 students were shortlisted for final interview. Interview lasted till late evening and those selected will be called for joining on completion of degree. Dr. Pritpal Singh, Principal and Prof. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Principal and Prof. H.S.Taluja, Director Placements were present on the occasion and congratulated the shortlisted students.
